Overview
Co-op Bank launched its Healthier Lifestyles Programme on June 12, 2008 to promote vibrant and physically active lifestyles. The objectives of the programme were to:
- create an awareness of healthy living and physical exercise
- promote a proactive approach to health issues
- make available to the public vital information concerning health matters.
To achieve these objectives, the Bank created the event Pump it Up! Family Fun Walk in 2009 which has been held each year since. Pump it Up! is executed in both Carriacou and Grenada, and has grown significantly over the years, with participation of over 4,000 persons. The event targets the family, workplaces and communities. Walking is one of the simplest and more inexpensive forms of exercise, and can be fun while supporting a worthy cause.

After exceeding the fundraising target for the Carlton Home Rehabilitation Center in 2024, Co-op Bank turned its efforts in 2025 toward raising funds for the Princess Royal Hospital in Carriacou. This year, the Bank continues its commitment to supporting national development, with proceeds from the initiative going to the Food and Nutrition Council.
Corporate Partners Hubbard's and Antillean Group have once again given their commitment as Benefactors to the fundraising drive, while Guardian General Insurance continues as a contributing supporter of the initiative.

The Mission
Every year since 2009, the Bank has selected a different health-related non-profit organization to be the recipient of the financial proceeds generated from the Pump It Up! Family Fun Walk. The 2024 Fun Walk marked the end of fundraising efforts toward the re-establishment of services at the Carlton Home Rehabilitation Center. The Bank and its Benefactors exceeded the fundraising target of $500,000, raising an impressive $584,392.
In July 2024, the sister islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique were devastated by Hurricane Beryl. In response, the Bank, together with its Corporate Partners, directed the 2025 charitable efforts toward supporting the restoration of services at the Princess Royal Hospital in Carriacou and rasising an impressive $69,051.00—an institution vital to the health and well-being of residents in the sister isles.
For 2026, the Bank has turned its fundraising efforts toward the Food and Nutrition Council, continuing its commitment to initiatives that support the health and well-being of communities across Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique.
